Dean Horton Chief Executive Officer

Dean Horton, a Morgantown, WV native, is the Chief Executive Officer of Horton IT Enterprises, bringing extensive experience in technology, cybersecurity, and project management. A retired U.S. Army veteran with 14 years of distinguished service, Dean held roles such as Operations NCO, CBRN Reconnaissance Specialist, Cargo Specialist, and Technical Advisor for company-level operations.

Dean holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Protection from West Virginia University and has completed advanced cybersecurity training at New Horizons in Richmond, VA, earning certifications including CompTIA Security+ and Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH). His career spans technical support and supervisory roles at Apple, security system and camera installation, and leading IT projects for local organizations such as West Point Chiropractor and West Point Family Physicians.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Dean is deeply committed to giving back to his community. He volunteers with a nonprofit foundation that advocates for mental health support for first responders and veterans, a cause close to his heart as a Service-Disabled Veteran.

Currently living in New Kent, VA, with his child and two dogs, Dean enjoys spending his free time outdoors, kayaking, hunting, fishing, hiking, and crabbing. His leadership at Horton IT Enterprise is driven by a dedication to innovation, empowering others, and making a meaningful impact both professionally and personally.

Rodney Brown – Information Security Manager

Rodney Brown, a Baltimore, MD native, is the Information Security Manager at Horton IT Enterprises, where he brings a wealth of expertise in information technology and cybersecurity. A dedicated professional, Rodney has served honorably for 10 years in the U.S. Army and continues to serve as a Staff Sergeant in the Army Reserves. Throughout his military career, he has held roles as a CBRN Operations NCO, CBRN Reconnaissance Specialist, and Technical Advisor for NATO and coalition forces, earning a Secret security clearance.

Rodney holds a bachelor’s degree and is CompTIA Security+ certified, combining academic knowledge with hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations and IT project management. His ability to oversee and successfully execute complex IT-related projects with precision has been a cornerstone of his success, both professionally and personally. Rodney is also skilled in managing cybersecurity operations, logistical planning, and device and equipment procurement.

A natural leader and communicator, Rodney is passionate about empowering others to succeed and leveraging technology to drive progress. In his free time, he enjoys playing sports with friends, spending quality time with his family, and staying active through exercise. Rodney’s commitment to excellence, both in his military service and civilian career, defines his impact at Horton IT Enterprises.

Rose Caballero –
Chief Information Officer

Rose Caballero, born in Half Moon Bay, California, is an accomplished IT professional with over a decade of experience in IT and related services. As a former Signal and Communications Specialist in the U.S. Army, Rose served eight years, including a deployment to Africa, where she gained hands-on experience setting up networks in remote locations and ensuring information security and accountability.

Currently, Rose is the Chief Information Officer at Horton IT Enterprises, where she leverages her expertise in network administration, access management, enterprise management, and system maintenance. She has held various leadership roles in technical support management and is highly skilled in Windows Group Policy and network updates.

An honorably discharged Army veteran with a Secret security clearance, Rose is also a proud mother of one. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking in nature, running 5Ks, and staying active. Rose is an artist at heart, creating art of all kinds and excelling as a home chef. A passionate NFL fan, she thrives in both watching games and dominating in fantasy football. Her well-rounded skill set, creativity, and leadership make her an invaluable asset to Horton IT Enterprises.

Joey Crowe – Network Engineer Supervisor

Joey Crowe, born and raised in West Point, Virginia, brings over 30 years of experience in IT and related services, with a primary focus on network administration and management. His extensive expertise has been honed through a variety of roles in the tech industry, emphasizing leadership and innovation in network engineering.

Joey serves as the Network Engineer Supervisor at Horton IT Enterprises, where he oversees critical network operations and ensures seamless connectivity for clients. Beyond his professional achievements, he dedicated more than a decade as a volunteer firefighter, demonstrating his commitment to community service.

A widowed father of two, Joey enjoys spending quality time with his family, watching NFL games, and exploring the outdoors. His dedication to both his work and personal life underscores his well-rounded and dependable character.
